Radio 1’s Live Lounge is normally reserved for musically talents from all over the world. But today it played host to even more magical scenes –  Newsbeat’s Chris Smith orchestrated what sounds like the Prime Minister’s most gruelling Q&A session in his election campaign so far. The savvy youngsters fired a barrage of questions at the PM on topics including the LGBT community and the Living Wage. And, surprisingly, Mr Cameron squirms more times than he should. Shots were fired when the Tory leader stressed: ‘If I’m PM after the next election I will continue with equality for gay and lesbian people.’ A member of the audience took issue with the fact that he failed to include ‘transgender’ in that sentence, for which apologised and he said he should have done.
