Manchester United could lose second big-money midfielder with Valencia after Juan Mata
The La Liga side think they can lure the Spaniard back to his home country for a knock-down £20m fee. Mata joined the Old Trafford outfit from Chelsea for £37.5m in January 2014 but could be set to leave for almost half that just 18 months later. The Daily Mirror claim Valencia want to re-sign Mata after selling him to the Blues in 2011. Mata was forced to leave the La Liga side to help finance what was a crumbling empire at the Mestalla but thanks to new owner Peter Lim they have new-found financial muscle. The report follows the news that Paris St-Germain are still interested in signing Angel di Maria after missing out on the Argentine last summer. If United do decide to sell the pair they could be set for a windfall in excess of £80m. Boss Louis van Gaal still has an unbalanced side which has struggled to gel and it seems that either Mata or Di Maria features in their match day squad rather than both and perhaps United feel that it is time for at least one to lea
