Forensic Body farm: 50 bodies in a Texas field
In the middle of Texas, you will find one of the most high tech cemetery in the world. These “body farms” (of which only five in the world exist) study the different stages of how the human body decomposes. The body farms allow crucial information to be gathered which are used by for forensic investigators in the fight against crime. The bodies are all in various stages of decomposition. Some are only a few hours old, others have been there for months. Most of the bodies are put in cages in order to protect them from vultures. The body farm is a research institute where the progress of the human decomposition process is studied. A mass grave for science. Donated bodies are left here in the field and surrendered to the elements.
