Woman's Shocking Foul-Mouthed Racist Attack On Muslims Filmed On London Bus

The incident is thought to have occurred on the 206 bus service to Brent Park Tesco, near Wembley, in North west London. The woman's child asks her 'what happened?' to which she replies: 'What happened? What happened? ISIS got into our country, that's what happened.' The bus driver stops and tries to calm the situation more than once and tells the woman to 'relax' before he threatens to kick everyone of the bus. Mico Abrigo uploaded the video to Facebook, writing: 'Yesterday I was out with my mum and this happens.' You can watch the footage below. Warning: Contains strong language. source

Police "refused" to rescue a teenager who drowned in a canal

Police "refused" to rescue a teenager who drowned in a canal while fleeing from officers, witnesses have claimed. The 17 year old, believed to be Jack Susianta, smashed a window at his home and fled after officers were called to the property in Clapton, east London, on Wednesday. He later ended up in the canal at Lea Bridge Road, Hackney, and witnesses have said officers went in only after he disappeared under the surface. Fiona Okonkwo, 42, told the Evening Standard it appeared the youngster "couldn't swim" and was in difficulty for around 10 minutes. She said: "The police officers refused to jump in after him and said they can't do it. I was going to jump in after him but they stopped me.  The police told us there were weeds underneath the water, that it was too dangerous and they could get dragged down. "He was struggling, then he went under the water for the last time and didn't come back up. I saw the bubbles where he took ...

This Incredible Photo Of A Baby Weasel Riding A Woodpecker Is Straight Out Of A Children’s Fantasy Book

Image
As much as we’d all like to believe this is a wondrous tale of friendship wherein two mates go on an epic adventure featuring a baby weasel and his magnificent flying steed, sadly it’s NOT. It’s a photo of a weasel trying to kill a woodpecker. Le-May spoke to us at BUZZ about capturing the moment he described as “the struggle for life.” Le-May, a hobby photographer, was taking a walk with his wife through the Hornchurch Country Park in east London in the hopes of her seeing a green woodpecker for the first time. In an email to BuzzFeed News he described what we’re calling “The Thrilling Tale of The Woodpecker and The Weasel”: “As we walked we heard a distressed squawking and I saw that flash of green. So hurriedly I pointed out to Ann the bird and it settled into the grass behind a couple of small silver birch trees. Both of us trained our binoculars and it occurred that the woodpecker was unnaturally hopping about like it was treading on a hot surface. Lots of wing fl...

This woman’s reaction to learning Jihadi John is her neighbour is important

Image
The woman in this recording learned today that Jihadi John is reportedly a member of a family she knows in her neighbourhood. Natasha John, 25, heard that the ISIS terrorist, who murdered James Foley, Steven Sotloff, David Haines, Alan Henning and Kenji Goto, had been named as 26-year-old Mohammed Emwazi. Emwazi lived with his mother, father, brother and two sisters at this house in Queen’s Park, west London after moving to England from Kuwait when he was six. Ms John, who is also a Muslim, says firmly that the family would never ‘have allowed that sort of stuff in that house’. But while many neighbours expressed their shock at learning their neighbour was a terrorist – this young mother, who works as a youth worker for the council, took a different view. She sees the revelation through the eyes of someone who has suffered prejudice. She rejected there being any kind of jihadist behaviour in the area. She quite bluntly denied there being any ‘issues’ with her nei...

Londoners hire snipers to kill foxes in their gardens

Image
They have been a problem in the countryside since time immemorial. Since hunting with horses and hounds was outlawed, farmers and landowners have had to resort to guns. But it’s not just rural folk who are taking a bullet to the heads of foxes nowadays – Londoners are staging a fightback too. For £75 for the first fox and £50 for each subsequent one caught, they can hire a man called Phil (he won’t give his last name through fear of reprisals) and his .22-calibre rifle to kill the vermin that tip over our bins and (allegedly) crawl into our children’s beds at night. With more foxes in London (10,000) than there are buses, his services are in great demand. He told the New York Times that he has repeat customers because within four days of a fox leaving an area, another one has moved in. It’s not helped by people leaving food out for the foxes, bins being left so that they can be tipped over and compost piles being left open.
