A teenager has died after accidentally shooting himself while trying to take a selfie. The young father was reportedly posing with a gun in his bedroom when it went off, striking him fatally. Friends and family gathered around the home of Deleon Alonso Smith, 19, in Texas following the accident. His cousin told police Deleon found the gun on Tuesday before taking the ill-fated photos. Deleon, who has two children, was due to start college this week. His uncle said: ‘This is the worst time of my life’.

The body farms allow crucial information to be gathered which are used by for forensic investigators in the fight against crime. The bodies are all in various stages of decomposition. Some are only a few hours old, others have been there for months. Most of the bodies are put in cages in order to protect them from vultures. The body farm is a research institute where the progress of the human decomposition process is studied. A mass grave for science. Donated bodies are left here in the field and surrendered to the elements.
