The Sun stops publishing topless models on Page 3 – it must be due to Muslims and ‘creeping sharia law’ in the UK, right? Wrong. But that fact hasn’t stopped bigots on Twitter suggesting that Islam might be responsible for the paper’s decision to stop publishing topless models. Today’s edition of sister paper The Times stated that the paper ‘Understands that Friday’s edition of the paper was the last that will carry an image of a glamour model with bare breasts on that page’. It’s worth noting that The Sun has replaced topless models with scantily clad TV starlets wearing bikinis, which would be equally unpopular under many interpretations of sharia law. A radical Muslim mother-of-six who urged her Facebook friends to become suicide bombers has been jailed for more than five years. Runa Khan, 35, was determined to radicalise her own children and friends into fundamentalist Jihadism in a campaign of hate on the internet and at home. When she was arrested police found a photo of her two-year-old son with a toy assault rifle and a jihadist book on her phone, as well as images of her and her older children holding a sword. She daydreamed about sending her eight year-old to fight jihad when he grew up.
