Mother makes epic parenting fail after breastfeeding son too soon after spray tan
This mom learnt the hard habit that you shouldn't breastfeed too soon after a spray tan.
Gemma Colley, from Leeds, went for a spray tan at her local beauty salon and accidentally turned her baby's face yellowish-brown.
She had waited a few hours for the tanning product to abstemious, and thought it would be customary to breastfeed her baby son. Of course, it in fact wasn't.
Gemma shared a photograph of her baby, on a Facebook page The Unmumsy Mum when the comment epic fail of fails.
She wrote: Yesterday I had a spray tan, a few hours later I breastfed my little boy. Cue 5 o'clock shadow and a the whole guilty mummy.
The post got more than 1,000 likes and has been shared again 23,000 times, despite the characterize unaided monster posted it only 17 hours ago.
Luckily, his tan eventually wore off.
Gemma returned to the blog to share pictures of her son looking delightful passable again without the tan.
She wrote: Photo evidence that tonight's feed was much less ocher.
Thanks for all the nice comments. I’m just another mummy trying to shed light on the adventures and misadventures of being a parent.
An expert from tanning salon Bondi Tans advised mothers getting spray tans to express milk in advance to give the product enough time to dry.
A barrier cream for the nipples is also advisable during the tan as well as using a dry face washer for the baby when feeding.
