The Philippines Aren’t Letting Chris Brown Leave And He’s Really Upset About It

Chris Brown has issued a plea to President Obama for help leaving the Philippines, where he has been banned from leaving for the past three days.

The singer has been documenting his time trapped in the country on Instagram and it has made headlines around the world – but Filipino officials are not backing down.

Their argument is that Brown has still not compensated them for a concert he cancelled on New Year’s eve last year.

He was due to board his private jet for a flight to Hong Kong on Tuesday, but has been stuck in Manilla since.

His first Instagram videos documenting the incident show him joking around about the situation, clearly believing he will soon be released, but the third video – seemingly aimed at  Barack Obama – shows the 26-year-old on his knees saying, “Please, please, let us leave, please,” but it has since been deleted.

The complaint in question was filed against Brown and his promoter by religious group Maligaya Development Corp.

They claim Brown and his entourage backed out of the NYE concert at the Philippine Arena AFTER being paid in excess of $1 million.

He cannot leave until an investigation has been completed.
