Mother’s thank you note to TK Maxx employee
Mother’s thank you note to TK Maxx employee who comforted her son with Down Syndrome is perfect
Her seven-year-old son Seb Playle was fed up with having to walk around the shops, so he sat down at the top of the stairs in a strop.
So his mother Caroline Playle, 41, waited around the corner – keeping him in view from a small distance – in the hope he would eventually come to her.
But Seb refused to move.
Then something incredible happened.
Caroline was amazed to see a shop assistant Ashley Rogers sit down next to Seb and ask him what was wrong.
He said something along the lines of ‘Are you ok buddy?’ .
Ash eventually talked the little boy around – putting a smile on his face – and convincing him to rejoin his mother.
‘I cannot express how much this young man’s actions meant to me. It really did make a huge difference,’ she said afterwards.
‘Too often you read about bad experiences but I want new parents of children with Down’s to know that not everybody is horrible.’
Caroline, from Bath, Somerset, was so impressed with the shop assistant’s actions that she wrote a thank you note to him on Facebook.
The post obviously struck a cord with hundreds of others as it was shared dozens of times and received more than 28,000 likes.
