Arsenal and Manchester United will qualify for Champions League but Liverpool and Tottenham will miss out, predicts simulator

Arsenal and Manchester United have been predicted to trump their Premier League rivals Liverpool and Tottenham to Champions League qualification this season, a simulator has predicted.
BSports, one arm of STATS, have undertaken the huge task of simulating the rest of this season’s top-flight matches 100,000 times to predict what the final Premier League table could look like in May.
And for Chelsea, Manchester City, Gunners and Red Devils fans, it’s good news.
Despite Arsene Wenger’s side currently sitting in fifth spot in the table, BSports have calculated that the north Londoners will beat their city rivals Spurs – currently in sixth place – to a third-placed finish with 73 points.
United, who are in third position at the moment, have been predicted to fall down the table by one spot – but Louis van Gaal’s side should, crucially, still secure their passage back to Europe’s premier competition for next season..

However, there is less positive news for Brendan Rodgers’ Liverpool side as BSports predicts the Reds will end the season in sixth place, two points behind Spurs in fifth.
The simulator has not only taken into account various different factors – such as squad strength to upcoming games – to predict the final table, but it has also worked out the chances of each team ending in the top four.
According to BSports, Chelsea have a 100 per cent chance of securing an all-important Champions League spot, City have a 99.8 per cent chance while Arsenal and United can be confident of playing in Europe next term with an 83.2 per cent and 73.9 per cent chance, respectively.
And, as for the title itself, the simulator has calculated that Chelsea will stay five points clear of Manchester City and end up prizing the Premier League trophy away from Manuel Pellegrini’s men this season.
